The Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, located in the picturesque surroundings of Sri Lanka, stands as a beacon of academic excellence, renowned for its commitment to producing competent and ethical leaders in the field of Management. The Faculty is the ninth Faculty at the University of Peradeniya, established in 2015, separating the Department of Management Studies from the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya.

The Faculty focuses on maintaining the highest academic rigour in business education as it offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, which are designed to equip the students with the knowledge, skills, and values required to excel in today's competitive global business environment. At present, the Faculty offers the Bachelor of Business Administration Honours (BBA) degree under five specializations namely, Accounting & Finance, Human Resource Management, Management Studies, Marketing Management and Operations Management. Currently, we accommodate around 190 university entrants who sit their G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination in the Commerce stream each year. In addition, we also offer two inter-faculty degree programmes, namely, B. Com. and B.Sc. in Computation and Management in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science respectively.

Apart from the internal degree programmes, the Faculty of Management offers a BBA (Online) Degree Programme and a Diploma in Management and Development Programme through the Centre for Distance & Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Peradeniya. Furthermore, we offer two Postgraduate Diplomas and four Master’s degree Programmes with a view to expanding its service to those who seek postgraduate qualifications and training locally and globally.

Within seven years of its existence, the Faculty of Management has achieved the highest grade (Grade ‘A’) offered by the Quality Assurance Council of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for its BBA Degree Programme and also has won the AHEAD grant worth Rs.120 million which has been utilized for the enhancement of teaching, learning, and research activities. The Faculty has a diverse and accomplished group of academics who are well-qualified in their chosen disciplinary area. As a Faculty, we are at the forefront of cutting-edge research in various management disciplines contributing valuable insights to society at large. Moreover, given that several of our academics obtained postgraduate qualifications abroad, we embrace a global perspective, encouraging international collaborations and providing opportunities for students to gain exposure to international business practices.
