The Department of Human Resource Management in collaboration with Aberdeen Holdings (Pvt) Ltd organized the “Aberdeen Inspirations – Leadership Camp 2023” on the 21st of November 2023 from 9.30 a.m. onwards at the Faculty Auditorium. The event was organized parallel to the course HRM 3201: Organizational Leadership offered for the 3000 level undergraduates of the faculty with the aim of developing the leadership skills of our undergraduates. The event consisted of many interactive sessions with the industry experts from Aberdeen Holdings and an Outbound Training session at the University Gymnasium.

The session introduction was done by Mr. Aaqil Munavver, Executive – Marketing & Corporate Communications, the session on “Being Change Ready” was conducted by Ms. Najiha Carim, Assistant Manager – Corporate Secretarial & Compliance, “Corporate Communications” session by Ms. Asheera Samsudeen, Manager – Marketing & Corporate Communications, “Personal Grooming and Branding” session by Ms. Dilshani Wadigamangawa, Assistant Manager – Human Resources & Administration, “People Management” session by Mr. Kisal Ekanayake, Financial Analyst and Mr. Yashon Visvanathan, Executive – Finance and a special session on “A C-Suite Executive’s Lifestyle” was conducted by Mr. Anushaka De Silva, Group Chief Financial Officer of Aberdeen Holdings. The students received gifts and certificates, courtesy of Aberdeen Holdings for their enthusiastic participation at the event.
