The Department of Management Studies organized a field visit to Brandix Apparel Solutions Pvt (Ltd) – Rideegama and CIC Agri Business – Dambulla on December 20, 2024, for students specializing in Organizational Management. 2000 and 3000 level students, along with academic staff members, actively participated in this visit. This visit was organized to connect theoretical learning with real world experience, providing students with a more comprehensive understanding of organizational structure, culture of the organization, operations strategies and the management practices.
At Brandix Apparel Solutions Pvt (Ltd), students learned how good management, teamwork, and leadership help one of Sri Lanka’s top clothing companies succeed. They gained important knowledge about smart production methods, Human Resource Management, quality control and eco-friendly practices, showing how a well-run company can achieve goals effectively.
The visit to CIC Agri Business gave students a clear understanding of how agri business is managed, production planning and sustainable resource management. They learned about how leadership, decision making, and company structure impact large scale farming.
Students had the opportunity to interact with professionals from two different industries and gained valuable career guidance. Also, this visit helped the department to build stronger relationships with both companies.
