
The Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, conducted a Soft Skill Development Session on June 27th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Faculty premises. This session was organized as part of the course HRM 3201: Career Management, specifically tailored for third-year undergraduate students.
The program featured three interactive group activities designed to align with the core objectives of the Career Management course. Its primary aim was to enhance students’ soft skills alongside academic knowledge, preparing them to meet the demands of today’s dynamic and evolving workplace. Key competencies developed through this session included effective communication, teamwork, decision-making, interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of personal agency – all essential qualities for becoming adaptable, lifelong learners and successful professionals.
