As a part of MGT 1201 – Fundamentals of Social Science subject, 1000 level students from Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, organized a social welfare activity on 04th of December 2024 at CP/K/Siddi Lebbé Maha Vidyalaya. The key objectives of this project were enabling easy access to technology, closing the learning gap and ensuring equal opportunities, and making the learning process more engaging.
This event was organized for the benefit of school teachers and the students to mitigate the shortage of digital devices by donating essential computing equipment that are necessary to operate the Smart Board. An educational workshop on the usage of Smart Board was also led by an IT professional, Ms K.K. Narmadha, Lecturer (Probationary), Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya. The event which fostered community engagement and social awareness among students was a great success. It also provided them with valuable experiences beyond the classroom, aligning with the learning and leadership.
