The Marketing Management Students Society, in collaboration with the Department of Marketing Management, proudly organized Talento’24 for the third consecutive year. The event was held on 2nd June 2025, from 3:00 PM onwards, at the Jubilee Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.Talento’24 featured a vibrant lineup of performances and competitions across multiple categories, including Singing, Dancing, Painting, Instrumental Music, Stand-Up Comedy, Photo Editing, and Video Content Creation.
Open to all undergraduates from the nine faculties of the University of Peradeniya, the event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their diverse talents and creativity. The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Anjalee Bandara, Visiting Lecturer from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, who attended as the Guest Artist. Performances were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges: Prof. W.M.P. Sudarshana Bandara, Dr. Manoj Alawathukotuwa, Ms. Niroshi Senevirathne, Ms. Chathumi Sewwandi, and Mr. K.H. Eranga Gunasingha, ensuring a fair and professional assessment of all contestants. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Management, Heads of Departments, academic and non-academic staff, and students from various faculties. The event was generously sponsored by the Bank of Ceylon and CIC, whose valuable support significantly contributed to its success.Beyond being a talent showcase, Talento’24 offered invaluable experiential learning for marketing undergraduates. It enabled them to apply theoretical knowledge to a real-world context—enhancing their skills in event management, sponsorship coordination, audience engagement, and creative execution. The event served as a practical learning opportunity that fostered creativity, communication, and collaborative problem-solving among undergraduates.
